One special medal

Finish the whole set

Some medals cannot be bought with one race. You have to finish the full set. Here are the series where the prize only exists for people who complete all of it, from the biggest in the world to one right here in India.

Planning figures only. Dates, fees and travel costs change. Verify with the race organiser before you book.

The world's big sets

  • Abbott World Marathon Majors

    Six Star Medal

Finish Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York and you get the Six Star Medal. It started in 2016. Sydney became the seventh major (first run as a major on 31 August 2025) and Cape Town the eighth in June 2026, but Abbott says the Six Star Medal stays for the original six. A nine star medal would be added if Shanghai passes its evaluation. A Running With Rock tracker counted 27,769 Six Star finishers in the hall of fame by mid 2026.

  • Every continent

    7 Continents Marathon Club

One marathon on every continent, and the Antarctica one has to be on the mainland inside the Antarctic Circle. The club listed 606 members as of March 2026 and gives a club medal. Finish the North Pole Marathon as well and you join the Marathon Grand Slam Club, with its own medal.

Right here in India

  • India

    Procam Slam

Finish the feature race of all four Procam events back to back and you get the Procam Slam medal: Bengaluru 10K, Delhi half, Kolkata 25K and Tata Mumbai Marathon, each inside its cut off. No separate Slam fee, you enter each race yourself. Rewards are for runners residing in India. Dates are on our race calendar.

One set, one prize

  • Walt Disney World, Florida

    Dopey Challenge

A 5K, 10K, half and full marathon on four mornings in a row, 48.6 miles in total. You earn six medals, including a special one with Dopey on it. The next one will be held on 7 to 10 January 2027.

  • USA

    Grand Slam of Ultrarunning

Four of the oldest 100 mile trail races in the USA in one summer, finishing with Wasatch Front 100. The prize is not a medal, it is a sculpted eagle. It started in 1986, and the first one went to Tom Green.

  • South Africa

    Comrades Back to Back medal

The smallest set of all. Finish your first Comrades and your second one the next year and you get the Back to Back medal. It was introduced in 2005, and 2,743 runners earned it in 2026.

A set turns one race into a story. You do not remember the medal as much as the years it took to earn it.

Which set would you chase? Tell us on the original post on r/punerunners (opens in a new tab), or see the Procam dates on our race calendar.
